Prompt:
Conduct research and design infographics for two posters that investigate a topic in the area of design education.
Response:
A poster set showcasing my in-depth research on U.S. design programs in higher education. The timeline illustrates two distinct trends: European-influenced programs (in red) and American trade schools (in blue). The table profiles each program, detailing current degree offerings, tuition costs, and influential design educators.
Note: Graduate coursework, University of Washington
Date: 2011
The first poster splits the European-included programs from those that originated from American trade schools.
The timeline showcases each school the context of historical design movements of the time.
The second poster continues with the same institutions, breaking down their current degree offerings and tuition costs.
Special attention was paid to undergraduate and graduate costs, as well as out-of-state versus in-state tuition. Notable faculty from select programs were profiled.
