User Research Analysis

Problem:
Buyers and sellers in Facebook sale groups weren’t connecting on items for sale (or items wanted).

Response:
Develop the search experience for buyers and make wanted items more discoverable for sellers.

Categories and sub-categories were added in the search field to help narrow product queries, as well as a hint to suggest a product sub-category.

A feature to surface relevant product items was built to help when a member posted explicitly that they were “In Search Of” (ISO) an item.

Concept 1 for horizontal scroll bar to highlight ISO posts within group feed. This concept is for groups with high quality image posts.

Concept 2 for horizontal scroll bar to highlight ISO posts within group feed. This concept is for groups with a mix of text and images posts.

Concept 3 for horizontal scroll bar to highlight ISO posts within group feed. This concept is for groups with a majority of text-based posts.
